Local Seattle Restaurant offering amazing burgers and more!
Located in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle, 8 Oz Burger & Co is a small restaurant that offering sit down and take out options. As the name implies, they are all about their burgers. However, it doesn’t just stop with burgers, they also offer a variety of appetizers, milkshakes, and more. The restaurant decoration gave me a 1950’s rural america vibe, they offer a full bar with a variety of table and booth seating. We visited 8 Oz Burger & Co on a Saturday at approximately noon, the restaurant was about one-thirds full. The one thing I noticed about 8 Oz Burger & Co is they are not big on customer service. The host promptly seated us and threw down the menus and left. No water not poured (sorry I pay attention to all the little details too), and we had to wait a good 10-15 minutes before someone came back to greet or take our order.
The menu has a wide variety of pre-built burger options along with a special burger of day. Additionally, they offer the ability to customize your own sandwich to exactly your liking. To start we ordered the brussel sprouts and deviled eggs. While the customer service was lacking, the food service was exceptionally fast. Within five minutes of ordering our food, the appetizers were on the table. Both the brussel sprouts and deviled eggs were delicious – the brussel sprouts were roasted nicely and the deviled eggs very flavorful.
I ordered the chicken sammie (I know I went to a burger place and got chicken) the sandwich was on point and really good. It comes with a honey curry aioli paired very with the pickles on the sandwich, I got it with a pretzel bun (I’m a sucker for anything pretzel). Jeff got the Madison burger and opted to get a lettuce wrap instead of the bun. The burgers do not come with fries and you have to order them separately. We didn’t order any fries, but they looked equally delicious!
All in all, we really liked 8 Oz Burger & Co and will definitely be back! We suggest checking them out either to dine in or take out!
